March 17, 2007: AGBU Hye Geen organized a panel discussion about "Evaluating the
input of Armenian Women Writers" with the participation of Khatoune temisjian,
Sona Yacoubian and Sona Zeitlian. The first spoke about women writers of
Armenia, the second about diasporan wriers and the third concluded by evaluating
the input of both eastern and western Armenian women writers.

'The Armenian Ambassador to Egypt Rouben Karapetian presided over the launch of Armenians in Egypt: Contributions of the Armenians to Medieval and Modern Egypt, written by Sona Zeitlian at the Mubarak Public Library in Giza. Among the attendees were Karapetian's wife Mariam, Zeitlian's son Hraztan and her daughter Heghnar, Egyptian Ambassador to United States Nabil Fahmi and head of the Mubarak Library Abdel-Raouf El-Reedi.'

March 4, 2006 : On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of AGBU, Hye Geen organized a newly published book event by four of its members. Sona Zeitlian's "Armenians in Egypt: Contribution of Armenians to Medieval and Modern Egypt" was presented by Marie Ohannessian. The Armenian edition was published in 2004, the expanded English edition in 2006.

October 14, 2005: On the occasion of the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian alphabet by Mesrob Mashdots, AGBU Hye Geen organized a commemorative event. Setting the tone of the evening were the opening remarks by Sona Zeitlian, educator and author. The event was under the auspices of Arch. Hovnan Derderian and took take place at the Diocesan Kalaydjian Hall in Burbank, California.
